Pipes and Pints were formed in 2006 by Vojta Kalina (Highland Bagpipes/Vocals) with a dream of a band that combines punkrock with dirty folk music such as The Pogues. Soon after, he met Tomas Novotny (ex-Who ate my Skate, Guitar/Vocals) who shared the same dream, flavored by country and rock and roll. For some time (in 2007/08) the band was functional. Released demo, toured the Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Czech rep., Slovakia) as a lead band or as a support of The Porters, Society Parasites and more. Only to collapse because other members had different vision of the future. But it was not the time to wake up yet. Now the hard core of Pipes and Pints is powered by Lukas Vincour (Drums/Vocals, ex-Punkhart and more) followed by Syco Mike (Lead Vocals, ex-Mugshot76) and finally by Ondra Balvin (Bass/Vocals, Super Pilot, ex-ElPaso). The journey of these musicians, to find people like themselves, punks who want to spend their lives touring, seems to have finally ... started. New Ep2008 is a promise of better days and the beginning of a new adventure. Promise that these kids will give you all they have.

Pipes and Pints vznikli v roce 2006 jako sen Vojty Kaliny (Highland Bagpipes/Vokaly/Zpev) o kapele ktera micha punkrock se spinavym fokem jaky hraji treba The Pogues. Brzy se setkal s Tomasem Novotnym (ex-Who Ate my Skate, Kytara/Vokaly), klukem se stejnym snem okorenenym jeste o country a rock and roll. A nezustalo jen u sneni. Nejaky cas (v letech 2007/08) projevila kapela prvni znamky zivota. Vydala svoje prvni demo, odehrala 35 koncertu po centralni Evrope (Nemecko, Rakousko, Cechy, Slovensko) jako headliner i jako support (The Porters, Society Parasites a dalsich). Coz vsechno skoncilo z duvodu rozdilnych nazoru na budoucnost kapely. Zdaleka ale jeste nebyl cas na probuzeni a tvrdy dopad na zem. V soucasnosti se tvrde jadro Pipes and Pints posililo o Lukase Vincoura (ex-RAF, Thalidomide, Punkhart, Bici/Vokaly), ktery se za nami pristehoval z Moravy, Ondru Balvina (Super Pilot, ex-ElPaso, Basa/Vokaly) staryho kamarada z prazskejch ulic, klubu a squatu, s nemalym zapalenim pro spolecnou vec i svuj nastroj a Sico Mike (ex-Mugshot76, Zpev), ktery zrusil svuj navrat z Rakouska do Kalifornie, pronajal si v praze pro sebe a ted uz kapelniho psa Tequilu fesnej pokojik. Adresa ale neni dulezita, nikdo z nas nepochybuje ze driv nebo pozdeji se nasim druhym domovem stane dodavka. Vypada to ze pribeh nas vsech, muzikantu a punkacu s podobnym pristupem k muzice, kteri se hledali tak dlouho az se nasli, je konecne....na zacatku. Nove Ep 2008 nahrane v prosinci 08 po asi mesicnim spolecnem zkouseni je prislibem lepsich dnu a zacatkem vysnenyho dobrodruzstvi. Prislibem ze vam dame vsechno co mame. (by Pipes and Pints)
