About Gutter-Punk-Radio

Gutter Punk Radio started in 2008. The owner, O.C., 28 years young, has been in the punk scene since he was fourteen years old. After owning a few websites during the last couple of years including highclasslighting.com and SimpleLittlePleasures.com he decided that retailing expensive lighting was not his niche. Christopher had started his business, Simple Little Pleasures with just $100.00 with the sole purpose of giving his babies a better life. His business did ok but he wanted to do something that he enjoyed. As he has said many times, “It’s not about the fucking money, it’s about being happy and doing something you love”. After meeting U.K. punk band, Death Zone, conversation about internet radio carried on for several days. Being on the radio has always been a dream of his. After a couple months went by, Christopher decided to let his internet home business go, start going to punk shows again and offer free band exposure to unsigned bands on Myspace and at live shows in downtown Portland, Oregon. The Gutter-Punk-Radio staff is pretty cool and we are here to help bands gain exposure, spread good karma, anti racism and unity. That’s pretty much the jest of it. There is no catch. Our station is totally free and we do sell a few minor things to help keep the station aired. It does cost us money for the proper licensing and for our website hosting. If you are in a punk, hardcore or Ska band, please send us your music. We would be happy to throw some of your songs on the air. We will also add your band to our free directory which will include a link to your myspace page, website or both so fans know where to purchase your album and/or write you letters after hearing your music. If you like the music we are playing and you would like to keep us aired, we would love your help. More importantly though, we ask that you become a fan and just listen to the tunes.
